ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

After storm victims were hit hard in January, first responders say they were more prepared for severe weather this go round.

Each emergency agency has been training on different types of disaster scenarios, like severe storms and tornadoes.

For the city of Albany, managers say it was easier to create a plan of action after dealing with January's storms.

"With it being back to back, we didn't have much time to recoup from the first ones but definitely learned some lessons on the first round. This time we made some preparations prior to so we can really respond as quickly as possible," says Monique Wright, City of Albany Marketing Manager.

So far there is no reports of severe damage in Albany.

But Wright says that they are ready to go out and begin the recovery process if needed.
