AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Americus Police said a shooting suspect still on the loose could be dangerous.

Police said Dontrell Jordan, 22, is the suspect in a Saturday night shooting on Reddick Drive.

Police believe Jordan shot D'Anthony Chambliss, 20, in his stomach.

According to police, the incident stemmed from posts on Facebook.

Chambliss was life-flighted to the hospital, and at last check, police said described him as stable.

A bullet also struck a nearby home. One woman was there at the time, but she was not hurt.

"Innocent bystanders, residents can often be unintentionally injured just by the use of firearms," said Major Herman Lamar with the Americus Police Department. "We all were lucky that no one else was injured."

If you know where Jordan is, you should call 911.

Police said Thursday that you should not confront him if you see him, because he could be dangerous.
