MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - An 82 year old army veteran in South Georgia got to experience the "lap of a lifetime".
As part of the Second Wind Dreams program, Talmadge Matthews got to go to a race track in South Georgia.
Matthews is a resident at Pruitt Health in Moultrie.
He loves race cars and wanted to see a race in person.
Matthews said it was a great experience.
"The chance to see the cars, a lot of people don't get an opportunity. It was a special day to me. Those were the biggest cars I've ever seen," said Matthews.
Matthews was part of an honorary pit crew.
He even got a special wounded warrior shirt for helping with the race.
