DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - A woman accused of killing her husband two years ago is set to go to trial in September.
Police said that Jake Embert died on June 28, 2014, from a bullet wound to the head in his home.
At first his death was ruled a suicide, but later his wife, Susan Embert, was indicted for his murder.
Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards said they have a lot left to do to get ready for trial, but plans to be ready.
"We are going to try to make sure they are set in good order so we can bring the matter to trial. That's what the state is working toward, and the court is working toward that, and that's our intention," explained Edwards.
Prosecutors said they found traces of insecticide, antifreeze and arsenic in Jake's hair fibers.
