ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The focus Saturday was on taking a break from storm cleanup and recovery, and to have a little bit of fun at the Albany Strong Fun Fest.
The festival happened all day, with bands hitting the stage from 12:30 to 7 p.m.
If you're a fan of "the voice" there was a familiar face there helping relieve some of the pressure after the storms as well.
"I think it's very important to get people's mind off of what happened because at the end of the day, we all want to have a good time, and sometimes it's hard to find that inner peace," said Joshua Hunter, AKA J-Chosen, a contestant on NBC's "The Voice."
"Everybody's having a great time. Everybody's been so grateful for an event like this and what's been so awesome is just being able to bring the community together," said Sherrell Byrd with the BAM Agency.
Organizers said they believe they had more than 2,000 people turn out for the event throughout the day.
