ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Museum of Art is still recovering from storm damage but that didn't stop them from holding their family fun day.
Thanks to Thronateeska Heritage Center, the fun did not have to stop.
They opened their doors for the art museum to host a scavenger hunt, arts and crafts and family fun activities.
Museum officials taught classes and celebrated Easter early with themed games and crafts.
"Here we're giving them a wonderful opportunity to get out on a gorgeous Saturday, do totally free events with their kids and have a fun time creating memories, that's what it's all about," said Kristin Caso, Special Events Coordinator.
Everything today was free for parents and kids except for the planetarium show.
Family fun day will be held at Thronateeska Heritage Center until the museum is ready to host again.
