HOLLYWOOD, CA (WALB) - Actress Caitlin Carmichael, 12, a Tifton native, is among an ensemble cast of child actors who won a Young Entertainer Award for Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film, during the annual Young Entertainer Awards last week in Hollywood.
The event is equivalent to the Oscars for child actors.
Caitlin had also won a Young Entertainer Award last year for her leading role in the short film "Monsters."
Caitlin Carmichael, Tyree Brown, Luke Colombero and Jacob Guenther won the Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film award for "Operation: Neighborhood Watch!"
The movie was released last May, and also stars Denise Richards.
"I think my favorite part of filming 'Operation: Neighborhood Watch!' is the friendships that I made with Luke and Jacob and Tyree on set. I'm an only child so it's pretty cool to have three new older brothers," Caitlin said.
The family film involves neighborhood kids who have suspicions that a new doctor who moves in may be up to no good.
Caitlin was born in 2004 in Tifton. Her film credits include: Wheelman, 300: Rise of an Empire (2014), and Martyrs (2015).
