Early County High School's auditorium will get much needed renovations.
This comes after residents voted to extend the education penny tax earlier this week.
The school's Mangham Auditorium is used regularly for community events.
The five-year plan also includes a room for the chorus.
The band room is already attached.
Principal Ferry said renovations are long overdue.
He's thankful residents voted in favor of them.
"The lighting here is bad and the sound system is ancient. We will just be able to do a little better production," said Ferry.
The money will also be used for new heating and air conditioning systems in the elementary and middle schools.
It will also pay for surveillance cameras and new technology for the students.
