ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A productive meeting for Albany Chamber of Commerce members who returned from Capitol Hill.
Ten members met with congressional delegates and US Marine Corps officials at the Pentagon.
They gave an update on storm recovery efforts.
Members said legislators pledged their support in assisting the Chamber with finding the right resources to rebuild the city.
And they outlined how they're working with Marine Corps Logistics to strengthen their workforce.
"A lot of that revolved around STEM, around robotics and around early training for workers and how we integrate high school students, middle school students into that and how we facilitate some pathways for employment," said President & CEO Barbara Rivera Holmes.
Albany Chamber of Commerce talked to Senator Perdue about storm recovery funding options.
They also met with Senator Isakson's chief of staff and Congressman Sanford Bishop.
