ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Procter and Gamble donated $10,000 to help with Albany State University's Global Sustainability Project.

The project teaches students about global sustainability and the mass communication careers relating to the issue.

A big component of the project includes a study abroad program that allows students the chance to tour the P and G plant in China.

Two students visited China last summer and were appreciative of P and G's generosity.

"I was really excited when I found out because it was a few days before we were leaving and I kind of decided that we were not going to go and I found out about the scholarship and I was excited," said ASU junior Brenda Simpson.

Simpson plans to participate in more study abroad projects in the future.
