LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) - A Lowndes County school bus driver was arrested Tuesday afternoon for DUI, while behind the wheel of a school bus that was fully loaded with students.
Amanda Mullinax, 41, is currently in the Lowndes County Jail, charged with DUI and four counts of endangering the life of a child.
Sheriff's officials said that on Tuesday, Mullinax was arrested at the Hahira Middle School, while about to leave with a school bus load of students.
Reportedly alcohol was smelled on Mullinax and she was given a sobriety test by Sheriff's deputies, and then arrested.
She was suspended Wednesday.
