ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany couple celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary Sunday surrounded by family and friends.
Today Millie and Woody Daughtry celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and close friends.
Millie and Woody Daughtry got married back in 1942.
When asked why the Daughtry's thought their marriage had been so successful, they said it's thanks to their faith in God, but they also had a few tips.
"Remember that your will is not always the right one," said Woody Daughtry. "If you have any conflict, just don't go to bed with it. We just did everything together and I think when families go wrong is when they start doing their own thing."
Mr. Daughtry served three years in the navy.
He said he and his wife had never spent a night apart in their 75 years together except for those three years.
