ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A night of music and laughter not only brought smiles to the faces of people in Albany Sunday night, but it will bring financial help to some as well.
Comedian Jeff Foxworthy took the stage for a sold out crowd at the Albany Municipal Auditorium.
He said he knows people who were personally affected by January's back-to-back storms in Albany.
That's why he decided to perform, as a simple way to use his platform to give back.
"I'm just a guy, you know," Foxworthy said. "I just happen to have a gift of making people laugh, but, the cool thing about having that gift is when you can turn around and use it to help somebody that needs help and that's what's going on here."
100 percent of the proceeds will go to Mission Change to help storm survivors.
Organizers said they had a goal of $100,000 dollars.
