The Georgia Firebirds were outscored 36-12 in the 2nd half against the High Country Grizzlies en route to a 62-29 loss.
In just the second game of the National Arena League's existence, the Firebirds competed early but fell apart midway through the 2nd quarter.
Head coach Antwone Savage credits that to his team getting outmatched at the line of scrimmage.
"We came out fast," Savage said. "2nd half the wheels came off the bus. Offensive line they found a little leak in us they started beating us up front and they took off on us."
The Firebirds will look to rectify their issues up front before entering Veterans Memorial Arena Saturday for a rematch with the Jacksonville Sharks.
That game will be a rematch of the 39-24 preseason loss in the Civic Center.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
