A local shop in Thomasville is officially considered a 'Rockstar' when it comes to small business.
Sweet Grass Dairy is one of four businesses in Georgia to receive the Rock Star award from the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
To win the award, companies show increases in revenue, sales, exporting, jobs and economic impact.
The Thomasville chamber executive director said she's proud of Sweet Grass for this accomplishment.
" This is a business that was started in 2000, literally at a kitchen table. They are now serving in 38 states across the nation. They are part of a program that will be shipping cheese internationally," said Lauren Radford.
135 nominations were submitted.
The other three winners were shops from Fulton, Troup, and DeKalb County.
