PELHAM, GA (WALB) - The Lady Hornets have been making their rounds in the city ever since winning the state title.
Their first official community celebration is this Thursday.
Party with the state champion Lady Hornets Thursday from 5-9 in the evening.
The Pelham High alumni are hosting the celebration at the High school track and field.
There will be food, music, and of course the girls of honor who made it all possible.
The Lady Hornets won the single A public state championship last week over Telfair County.
It was the first title for the program in 20 years, and head coach Antonia Tookes says the girls have been bouncing off the walls ever since.
"They're just excited," Tookes said. "Every day they're asking coach what are we doing tomorrow what are we doing the next day. They're just so happy. They're talking about going to Disney World. I told them I don't know if we can do that, but they want to go to Disney World."
