Thomasville city schools to launch app

Thomasville city schools to launch app

A new app is now being offered to parents of students in Thomasville.

It's purpose is to offer a better method of communication between teachers, staff, and parents.

The city school district plans to roll out the app this month.

The app will sent out alerts to parents.

It will also offer volunteer sign up pages and press releases.

School officials said they are excited to offer this new technology to parents.

"Many times parents will change their phone numbers being able to have a mobile app, regardless of changing their phone number or not we can still contact them so it helps us face that challenge," said Moses Everett, Parent Involvement Coordinator

The app is projected to launch toward the end of the month and will be available for iPhone and Android users.
