Parents attend health and community resource fair

Parents from eighteen different counties in South Georgia have new knowledge after attended the health and community resource fair.

The purpose of the event is to provide information about community services for head start and early head start programs.

Representatives were there speaking to folks about health insurance, wellness programs, and other programs that are offered in the communities.

Event organizers said they were pleased with the amount of parents that came out to the event.

"We were a little afraid this morning with the rain but the turnout is great, each year we prepare for about 200 people," said Yolanda Daniels, Program Director.

The event was held at the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council auditorium in Moultrie.
