According to officials, a driver of a tanker truck was transported to the hospital after a wreck on the Liberty Expressway Thursday night.
Officials said that an SUV tried to merge into the lane the tanker was in.
The SUV hit the truck and the driver of the tanker tried to correct when the truck rolled into the median.
The accident happened in the westbound lane near the Jefferson Exit around 7:30 p.m.
The driver of the SUV was checked by EMT but was not transported.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area until the wreck is cleared.
