THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Three men are now in custody, but not before they led law enforcement on a high speed police chase in Thomas County Monday.
Deputies say Nathaniel Banks, Travaras Walden, Xavier Greene led Thomas County deputies on the chase, after robbing a store clerk at the O&M Food Mart.
Deputies say all three men were armed with guns, and walked into the store, demanding money.
Investigators with the Thomasville Police Department believe the three are responsible for an armed robbery that happened earlier this month, at the L&M Food Store.
The three men are from Moultrie, and investigators say they were targeting stores in Tifton and Thomasville.
This was a joint effort between the Thomas County Sheriff's Office, Thomasville PD and Tifton PD.
Banks, Greene, and Walden are charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, and several counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
Monday's chase ended after deputies made contact with the vehicle, spinning it around, eventually landing in a ditch.
