ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany police are searching for a woman who tried to rob the CVS on North Westover Boulevard on Monday.

According to a report, a store employee noticed the woman walk into the store around 4:30 p.m. and go into the candy aisle.

After the employee rung up some customers, the woman came up to the counter, covered her mouth with her hoodie, placed some candy down and handed the employee a note.

The note read, 'If you don't want to die hand me all the money in the register.' The employee also told officials that the woman verbally told her, 'If you don't want to die hand me all the money, I have someone waiting for me outside.'

The employee then ,voided the transaction, and began walking towards the telephone.

The woman yelled 'What are you doing?', grabbed the note and ran out of the store.

The employee told officials that she didn't see a weapon but that the woman kept her hands close to her body as if she did have a weapon.

No money or items were taken from the store.

Officials have received surveillance footage and have taken the candy into evidence to be checked for fingerprints.

The attempted robber was described as a black woman wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, black shoes with white laces and sunglasses with gold rims. And according to the report, she left in a white SUV that appeared to be a Chevrolet Equinox, heading south on North Westover Boulevard.
