TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Thousands of people flocked to Tifton to enjoy music and ribs this weekend.
The 4th annual Rhythm and Ribs Festival kicked off Friday night in Fulwood Park.
There will be two stages with live entertainment featuring music from Derrick Dove and Daniel Parish and a kidzone.
And there will also be food and drinks available.
But the big fun starts on Saturday where there will be tons of vendors and a full barbecue competition where 50 teams have a chance to win $16,000.
City leaders said there's something for everyone.
"If you want to have fun on a perfect day, come out and spend all day with us. Bring your chair so you'll have room here at the stage to watch the bands. Then you can get up and go shop a little bit and come back and rest. We have lots of drinks and lots to eat. There's going to be a lot of barbecue served," said coordinator Tyrone Spearman.
The festivities wrapped up around 10 p.m. on Friday.
But it will start up again Saturday at 10 in the morning and go until 7 p.m.
