ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A South Albany woman said that she fought a home invader who pushed his way into her home and tried to rob her at gunpoint.

Raven Carter told police she opened her door in the 900 block of West Whitney Avenue around 8:15 Tuesday morning, and a man forced his way in.

Carter said the man pointed a gun at her and demanded money, and she fought the home invader.

When her daughter woke up and went into the room, the man ran.

He's described as a tall black man with long dreads, wearing a light gray hoodie and black pants.
