ALBANY, GA (WALB) - While it may have felt like most of Albany shut its doors for Christmas Day, the movie theater opened for the holiday crowd.
Carmike Wynnsong 16 continued to cast on its 16 screens to help carry on family traditions and help prevent cabin fever.
Hundreds of families came out to cure boredom and relax after the holiday rush.
"You don't have too much to do. I mean like right now, you ride down the streets and there aren't too many businesses open and you know, after spending time with your family and eating, you wanna go. You wanna relax and get an escape from the world," said Carmike Wynnsong Manager Brandon Jones.
Carmike will resumes it's normal hours on Monday.
