Georgia State Patrol said that a woman was killed in a single vehicle wreck on State Route 11 Christmas morning.
Evelyn Rowe, 67, of Alapaha died after she went off on the shoulder of the road and tried to overcorrect. Troopers said Rowe then lost control of her vehicle, hit a driveway culvert and was ejected from her car.
Officials said they received the call around 9:58 a.m. that a 1994 Ford Ranger had wrecked near mile marker 15.
It is unknown whether Rowe was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
