After police alert, Albany man turns himself in

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Division of the Albany Police Department wanted to talk to Calvin Kenyatta Grant.  About 2:00PM, APD said that he turned himself in about 1:30, and is now being interviewed by investigators. 

Grant was wanted for questioning in the Curtis Davis Homicide on December 17, in the 600 block of West Tift Avenue and West Society Avenue.

Davis was found with a bullet wound to the back. He was then taken to the hospital by ambulance but died of his injuries.

Grant is 5' 7" and weighs about 145 pounds.

Authorities in Americus have an active warrant on Grant for a probation violation.

He is also known as "Goldy."
