ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Christmas came a week early for dozens of families in Albany.
My Early Baptist Church hosted a Christmas Blessing service Sunday morning. They invited local families to the church who were struggling to get by during this holiday season.
The church was able to give out 26 bikes and 40 coats to those who needed them.
One woman went home with a coat and jacket for her son.
"It makes me feel good. I was very overwhelmed you know I was going to church to praise god and I got presented with gifts like this for the children. It made me feel really happy," said Nicole Green.
Green says it was great to see so much support for the community.
Now her son will have a new bike to play with this Christmas.
