ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
The cost of admission at the YMCA Saturday morning was the donation of a toy.
Around 40 kids showed up for the "Give 4 skills and drills" basketball clinic.
Athletes ages 6 through 14 donated a toy, and were taught for three hours thanks to Ravii Givens' Gohard training.
This was the second year the YMCA hosted this event to collect toys for less fortunate children.
While the kids in attendance brushed up on their basketball skills, they were also sending a positive message.
"It's a good opportunity to show them that it's other kids out there in the community that do care about the kids that don't get to get a lot of stuff for Christmas," said YMCA sports director Marc West.
The Albany YMCA plans to bring the camp back again next December.
