ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany YMCA is helping children stay warm while collecting gifts for them this holiday season.

The Y is holding their annual coat and toy drives.

They're partnering with Central Monitoring to collect coats and winter clothes.

They're also partnering with the Marines for Toys for Tots.

"We just have a long history at the Y of working with different organizations in the community. We're always looking for ways to just help build a stronger, healthier community," said YMCA spokesperson Tami Pursley.

The Y is hosting a "Give for Skills and Drills" basketball clinic where children can bring a new toy and play for free.

The "Give for Skills and Drills" event will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m.
