ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Marine Reserves Toys for Tots were busy picking up donations for this year's Toys for Tots program.
Friday at the Albany Post 40 Georgia State Patrol headquarters, the Marines picked up a dozen huge boxes of toys.
The troopers collected the 743 toys from donations from the community in recent weeks.
Two big donors to the Georgia State Patrol Toys for Tots drive were Sunbelt Ford Lincoln of Albany and Quality Wrecker.
"We're honored to be part of that with the Marines. To support the community with such a worthy cause," said Pete Pines, Sunbelt Ford Lincoln of Albany General Manager.
"Glad to help anyway we can to help these children that need assistance, and to help the Georgia State Patrol," said Andy Lawton, Quality Wrecker General Manager.
The Albany GSP post has been organizing for Toys for Tots for a decade, making Christmas brighter for dozens of children in need.
