ALBANY, GA (WALB) - You've got a chance to tell state lawmakers what issues you want them to focus on in Atlanta next year.
The Albany Civil Rights Institute will host a legislative forum Thursday night.
Lawmakers will explain pending legislation and break down how it could affect you.
ACRI Executive Director Frank Williams says voters need to hold elected officials accountable.
"More importantly we need to have that dialogue," said Williams. "Not when it's a time of controversy, but in a relaxed atmosphere where there can be dialogue and people can be heard."
The forum starts at 6:30 Thursday night at the Albany Civil Rights Institute.
The General Assembly session opens January 9th.
