CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Students at a south Georgia high school collected toys for kids on Tuesday night.
Crisp County High School student organizations held their annual Cookies with Santa Toy Drive.
Folks brought one unwrapped toy or a $10 donation to participate.
Kids enjoyed fun activities like decorating cookies, writing letters to Santa and facepainting while they waited to take photos with Santa.
"All the toys donated it helps out a lot because some kids don't get much for Christmas so it really helps and it's for a good cause. And all the toys go to the kids in the community of Crisp County," said Shelby Sikking.
Students hoped to collect at least 500 toys to hand out to children in need.
