THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

The YMCA in Thomasville held it's Annual Senior Dinner on Tuesday.

150 to 200 people attend the dinner each year.

Its an exciting event and organizers said they look forward to it every year.

This event is held during the holidays for seniors in the community.

Sometimes organizers say seniors might be here in Thomasville and aren't able to see all their family for the holidays.

The YMCA wants folks to be able to come together and sit down to have a nice meal.

"Its a way that we can help spread some holiday cheer with the seniors in our community. Its a way for the YMCA and our staff here to serve them, its really a nice event," said Tom Everett, YMCA CEO.

What better way to get in the holiday spirit than to do it with tons of people in your community.

The dinner started at 6pm at the Thomasville High School Cafeteria.
