ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Just days away from walking across the stage for graduation, some Albany Technical College students were recognized for their hard work.

Close to 90 students celebrated their success at Honor's Day on Tuesday.

Students who attended are part of clubs or student government or are graduating with a high distinction.

Miss Albany Tech for last school year was one of the honorees.

She welcomed and addressed students today.

"It feels good. You work hard all year slaying yourself, studying hard, long nights, long mornings and long days," Dana Watson said. "So it feels good to be appreciated and honored."

Like many students, Watson will continue on to get her bachelors degree at Albany State in the fall.

Albany Tech's graduation is set for Thursday night at the civic center.
