TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

The Tift County Sheriff's Office confirms that an 11 year old girl died Monday afternoon in a wreck on Highway 125.

Weather may have been a factor in the collision that killed fifth grader Kendall Lamb.

The girl's mother is still in critical condition.

Tiftarea Academy said they will have grief counselors on campus today for anyone that may need them.

Students of Lamb commented on her character.

" "Kendall always had a beautiful smile on her face.  Daily, she expressed enthusiasm in whatever she was doing whether it was academics, piano, or drama.  She stood up for what she knew was right and was a role model for not only her classmates, but for younger students as well."

The sheriff's office said that the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
