THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

If you've ever wondered what the secret is to a pet photo shoot, well there really isn't one.

Furry friends were photographed for the 12 strays of Christmas program.

The Thomasville - Thomas County Humane Society has six cats and six dogs who they are trying to find homes this holiday season.

Each animal has an assigned day now through December 12th.

They are announced with a bio and an adorable head shot they got during the photo shoot.

"I just think that animals, family, and the spirit of Christmas and the holidays fit hand in hand so well together," said Melanie Chavaux, Program Organizer.

So far two of the animals have already been adopted!
