PLAINS, GA (WALB) -

The sounds of Christmas filled Plains High School's auditorium Sunday night.

It was plains' annual Christmas concert.

Eight different church choirs and Georgia Southwestern State University's choir performed holiday songs from their repertoires.

"This is a time of year where we begin a period of repose. You know, the work of the year is largely over with, and gives us a chance to pull together with the community," said Park Superintendent Barbara Judy.

After the concert, people were treated to festive refreshments.
