ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two Albany groups are working together to start an after school program for special needs students.
The Albany Area YMCA is partnering with Easter Seals to provide physical, enrichment and educational activities for children with special needs.
Easter Seals will train Y staff members.
The program will be housed at a new Easter Seals facility now under construction.
"Our children are a number one priority in conjunction with the YMCA and Easter Seals. It's just going to be an awesome program for inclusion children with special needs just so they can interact and have a place to come," said Easter Seals Childcare Director Sara Mitchell.
The program is expected to open January 9th.
Parents can register their kids ages 5-17 for $65.
