Tifton hosts annual downtown open house

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Tifton kicked off the holiday season with its annual downtown open house Thursday night. 

Businesses stayed open late to showcase holiday items.

One retailer said that the event gives customers a chance to preview some of their holiday sales which include The North Face jackets and Hunter boots. 

"We have a lot of specials going on and of course there are trendy items, and we have classic items. And there's things for kids adults, men, ladies," said Big Store Owner Susan Perlis.

Perlis said that almost everything in the store will be on sale through Sunday.
