ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

We’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And a new breakfast and lunch restaurant is now ready to serve hungry customers in Albany.

Eggs Up Grill opened earlier this week at 2118 Old Dawson Road with 22 employees.

Albany operator Michael McNeal told WALB News 10 that it’s been his dream to open up a restaurant.

“It’s extremely exciting to see this come through,” McNeal said.

The Albany native used to work as a truck driver for a package delivery service, but decided last year that it was time to turn his dream into a reality.

Eggs Up Grill originated in South Carolina and is a fairly new restaurant for Georgia.

Right now, the Albany location is the second location to open in the state. There is one Eggs Up Grill in Alpharetta and a third location is currently being built in Roswell.

“[Residents] are super excited to have a breakfast place in Albany, another choice for breakfast,” McNeal said.

Eggs Up Grill serves all types of breakfast favorites like corned beef hash, signature omelets, pancakes, and waffles.

The menu includes heart healthy options and gluten friendly options too.

“The quality, the taste, and the freshness of the food is something that everyone has been really excited about,” McNeal added.

The restaurant currently has a special offer for those who want to give a delicious gift for the holidays. When customers purchase a $25 gift card, they’ll receive $5 worth off “Egg Bucks” which they can use towards their meals starting in January.

Eggs Up Grill is open 7 days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
