ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man is in custody after drug agents said they caught him with a large amount of drugs.

We learned Tuesday night agents pulled over Kavoski Johnson, 30, for running two stop signs last week.

They found 2.5 pounds of marijuana with a street value of more than $15,000 and 29.5 grams of cocaine worth nearly $3,000.

"Our interdiction officers are always out in the community and during a traffic stop like that it's very important. So initiating because of the traffic violation and them being able to smell the odor of marijuana led to an arrest for us, so it's very vigilant for them to do this," said ADDU Lieutenant Carmelita Preston.

Johnson faces numerous charges including trafficking marijuana and cocaine.
