Residents concerned after heavy police presence in Moultrie

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, GBI agents and Moultrie Police officers were in at least two locations for some kind of investigation.

One officer was still standing on the front porch of the apartment in question on 7th Street around noon. 

One resident who said there were at least 20 cars when he woke up this morning.

It's not clear at this time what the officers were doing in Moultrie, but residents are concerned.

"During the day, its a very quiet area. I've been here two and a half months, no problems. I don't see any problems ever in this area," said Johnny Nguyn, resident. 

Nguyn also said that a lot of children live on the street. He wants the area to stay safe for them and hopes whatever is happening gets taken care of.
