ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Fire Department has surveillance video of a fire bomb attack at a North Albany motel.

It happened around 2:15 Monday morning at the Superior Creek Lodge in the 2500 block of North Slappey.

Investigators said that a masked man threw a Molotov cocktail against a door, attacking the people inside.

The arsonist moved a surveillance camera to try to hide himself, then threw a plastic bottle containing gasoline and a fire wick against a door inside the motel.

The fire did about $8,000 in damage, but no one was injured.

Investigators want the public to notice the way the arsonist walks down the hall.

"He's pigeon toed, and his left foot turns inward more than the right foot. He also has a very distinctive hat," said Investigator Sam Harris with the Albany Fire Department.

Anyone with any information about the man or the fire bombing at the Superior Creek Lodge is asked to call CrimeSTOPPERS at (229) 436-TIPS.
