Editorial: WALB is thankful for our viewers

I hope all of you were able to spend time with friends and family during Thanksgiving, and to give thanks for all that you have, and to make plans to give back in some way.

I have had the pleasure of being at WALB for 24 years now, and during that time we have continued to be the #1 source for news, weather, and sports coverage and entertainment in Albany and the surrounding 44 counties in South Georgia.

In large part, this is due to the 100 dedicated employees here who love what they do, and work so hard to serve the community every day.

Also because of you, our viewers and customers, who demand excellence every single day.

You are the ones who email and call when you feel we didn't get it just right.

You also are the ones who call to say thank you when you like what we do.

We will always give voice to those who feel they are not heard, hold our elected officials accountable, and I hope it shows.

We work to keep you safe, keep you informed, and hopefully always warn you when you will need your coat or your umbrella.

Thank you again South Georgia, for being the best viewers on-air and online, that anyone could hope for.
