Victim of fatal Decatur Co. accident identified

DECATUR CO., GA (WALB) -

A Bainbridge man was killed when his vehicle slammed into the back of a stopped garbage truck and a woman riding with him was injured.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the sanitation truck was stopped on Highway 84 near mile marker 5 picking up trash just after ten in the morning when William Paul Cassels, 61, hit the back of the truck.

Cassels was killed and a woman in the passenger seat was hurt and taken to Southeastern Medical Center in Dothan for treatment.

The accident is under investigation and no charges have been filed.
