ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Some Albany shoppers started their Black Friday shopping early Thanksgiving morning.
Around 5:30 a.m. a line started to form outside the Albany Kmart store.
The retailer opened their doors at 6:00 a.m. Thursday to give customers a head start on their holiday shopping lists.
"We've had a great crowd," Albany Kmart Store Manager Derrell Robinson said.
Shoppers roamed throughout the aisles and filled their carts with all the best deals.
"Prices are low throughout the entire store. We have a lot of great deals," Robinson added.
The store manager said that although more people are finding their deals online, there's still nothing that compares to the in-store experience.
"There are a lot of people who are traditionalists. They plan their events. They look at all the newspapers and sales papers to see who's got what and they go around the businesses to get all the great specials," Robinson said.
The Albany Kmart has added multiple employees to help during the holiday season.
Kmart will remain open until 10:00 p.m. Friday night.
