VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Gunfire heard on Fontana Road Tuesday attracted the attention of Valdosta Police, who soon discovered that some of weapons were in fact stolen.

About 11:00am,  VPD officers were dispatched to a residence in the 5000 block of Fontana Road, in reference to people discharging firearms in a backyard.

They caught suspects leaving the scene and did a traffic stop, where they recovered several rifles and handguns, and even some marijuana.

They searched the Fontana Road house, and recovered two more rifles and two shotguns. At least three of the weapons had been reported stolen from a house in Lakeland.

VPD arrested four teens, who were taken to the Lowndes County Jail, while a juvenile was turned over to his mother.

Here are the suspects, and their charges-

Taurian Werts, age 18, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (Felony), Possession of Marijuana
Satoria Thatp,  age 17, Possession of Marijuana
LaPharoah James, age 17, Possession of Marijuana
William Smith, age 18, Possession of Marijuana
