ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Turkey Day is getting closer and many people are ready to sit down to their holiday feasts.

One Albany fitness studio wants you to enjoy your holiday dishes, but wants to help you work it off.

229 Yoga is hosting “Burn the Bird” on Friday, November 25, 2016.

The event will include four different classes.

Yoga and pilates will be taught at 9:30 a.m. and then a ride class and piyo class at 10:30 a.m.

This will be the third year for the annual event.

Owner Penny Gregorio told WALB News 10 that “Burn the Bird” has become a tradition for some families.

Gregorio said the classes are a great way to get ready for the Black Friday crowds.

“We say ‘burn the bird’ before you burn the money out of your wallet. So, that’s a good way to take care of yourself first and then go take care of others,” Gregorio said.
