Young man killed in Tifton wreck

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Authorities said the driver was killed and a passenger was severely injured in a weekend accident.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in Tifton, at Moore Highway and Davis Road, adjacent to ABAC.

Officials said that Adam Sattler, 18, passed away, and Macy Mathis, 16, was airlifted to Macon, in critical condition.

Sattler  was a freshman at Georgia Tech.

Mathis attends Tift County High School.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash.

There will be a prayer vigil Monday at Northside Baptist at 6 p.m.
