ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Four people were busted on drug charges when they were stopped for a traffic violation in Albany.

Brothers Eric and Quinton King were charged with possession of marijuana and ecstasy with intent to distribute.

Two women in the car, Janay Lanier and Chavonda Jones, were also arrested on the same charges.

Albany Police stopped their car on Newton Road at 5 a.m. Thursday. and the officer smelled marijuana.

Officers seized marijuana valued at more than $3,000 and 70 ecstasy pills.

"I expect a little bit of an increase in drug sales here. Along Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. Probably after that it will drop down a little bit," said ADDU Commander Prurince Dice.

Agents also found drug paraphernalia inside the car.

The suspects are being held in the Dougherty County Jail as the investigation continues.
